Combine a traditional wooden raft trip through the spectacular Dunajec River Gorge with a visit to Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains on a private day tour from Krakow.
Your private driver will pick you up directly from your accommodation in Krakow and take you towards the Pieniny Mountains. Along the way, you’ll make a short stop in Dębno to see its historic wooden church before continuing to the Dunajec River.
The traditional rafting experience is operated by local highlander raftsmen on wooden rafts and takes approximately two hours. The route follows the Dunajec through the Pieniny Mountains, surrounded by forested slopes, limestone cliffs and some of the most impressive scenery in the region.
After the rafting, continue towards Zakopane. On the way, stop briefly at Jaszczurówka Chapel, one of the best-known examples of traditional Zakopane-style wooden architecture. You’ll then have approximately three hours in Zakopane to explore Krupówki Street, take the funicular to Gubałówka and enjoy free time in the town. On the return journey, stop to taste traditional oscypek cheese before heading back to Krakow.
